Claranet dans le Top 10 des Tech Brands en Europe

From the huge to the up and coming, here are our thoughts on the top 10 Tech Brands in Europe; we have limited ourselves to European based / invented companies so no place for the powerhouses of Amazon, Google, Apple and Microsoft but plenty of great brands across telecoms, software and music streaming.

Our own business BCSG was listed number 43 in Talkin Cloud’s top 100 cloud service providers, a little behind SAP at 6, Claranet at 16 and iomart at 20, all which make this top 10.

#10 The iomart Group

One of Europe’s leading providers of cloud computing and managed hosting services. The group specialises in the design, delivery and management of business-critical hosting services and has more than 100,000 customers.

#9 Claranet

One of Western Europe's largest independent managed services providers offering network, hosting and managed application services in the UK, France, Germany, The Netherlands (Benelux),Portugal, and Spain. More than 800 employees across multiple European offices.

#8 Spotify

A music streaming service with more than 40 million subscribers, roughly one quarter of whom pay for a subscription. Founded in Sweden, the service is available in nearly 60 countries.

#7 Skype

Headquartered in Luxembourg (though owned by Microsoft), Skype is a huge European success story. The company, with more than 300m users worldwide, offers telecommunications application software that specializes in providing video chat and voice calls from computers, tablets and mobile devices via the Internet.

#6 EE

With the Orange and T-Mobile brands, EE has more than 27 million customers in the UK. As a mobile network operator and internet service provider, it was formed in 2010 as a 50:50 JV between Deutsche telecom and Orange SA.

#5 Siemens

A major electronics and industrial conglomerate that qualifies as a tech brand despite its broad base of activities, Siemens employs nearly 350K people and has global revenue of €75bln.

#4 Telefonica

One of the largest telecommunications companies in the world in terms of market capitalisation and number of customers. With mobile, fixed and broadband networks, and a portfolio of digital solutions, Telefónica is transforming itself into a ‘Digital Telco’.

#3 Vodafone

A mobile communications titan with more than 400 million customers globally. Flush with cash following its sale of its stake in America’s Verizon Wireless, Vodafone is set to expand further in its multiple markets across the world.

#2 SAP

With locations in more than 130 countries, SAP SE is one of the world leaders in enterprise software and software-related services. The Company markets and distributes its products, solutions, and services primarily through a worldwide network of local subsidiaries. SAP’s stated goal is to have 1 billion people using its software by 2015.

#1 Deutsche Telekom

Consistently features in strongest global brand lists, DT is a true giant of integrated telecommunications provision across Europe that offers more than 142 million customers a portfolio of services in telecommunications and information technology.
